After going on the hospital tour last Sunday my husband and I are feeling that this experience is coming soon and we better start getting prepared! After all, there are only 5 weeks left until the expected due date and truly you never know. Most of the women I know have had to be induced...

I had the most incredible experience last week! Remember how I blogged about doing a pregnancy massage? I got along really well with the girl at Becoming Mom that gave me a pedicure and I had been telling her that I only had the one ultrasound at 20 weeks. Next thing I knew I had a...

A lot of people have been asking me how they think our dogs will do when the baby arrives. In fact, I've even expressed my thoughts about this on a previous post. However, I'm pretty certain our two labs will do well. We had a couple over on Saturday that have a 3 month old baby. They have dogs too ...

What is happening to my baby at 34 weeks pregnant? He is most likely about 5 pounds and 19 inches long. I keep wondering how he can get any bigger in this belly of mine. I feel like I'm stretched to capacity but apparently there just continues to be more room for him to grow. At this stage women usu...

Today we took one of the classes our hospital offers. It was just an hour and a half class that is a tour of the facility. They also show a video which provides in detail the benefits of breast feeding, what to do to to prepare for delivery, where to go when you're in labor, what you'll need to pa...

I have seen friends and family in recent months experience the incredible sadness of a miscarriage. ...

Hormones can be an irritating part of life for women no matter what stage. I just happened to forget how irritating until I started having a period again and then pregnancy hormones. Remember? Since I was 19 I have not had to deal with PMS because I was on birth control continuously. I couldn't ...

I was at 33 weeks on Sunday. Currently my baby is gaining about 1/2 a pound a week. He could grow up to another full inch this week; I mean, really, where does he have to go? I feel so inflated that I'm going to pop already! When he moves it actually hurts because he's so big. It's interesting to me...

Is 6-8 weeks enough time for the working Mom on maternity leave? To someone that has never been pregnant I think that sounds like a substantial amount of time. I don't mean it to sound like all the sudden I'm some kind of "know it all" but I do know when I had no interest in babies or being pregnant...

Today I am feeling incredibly nauseous. I need to fight it because I have a meeting at school, chores to do, and a 30 minute walk. I'm not skimping out on the walk just because I don't feel well. I have been using anti-nausea wrist bands - some people use them for traveling when they get seasick. It...
