8/31/10 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Tuesday

My friend bought me pregnancy massage for my birthday back in June.  If you choose to do one I highly recommend you do it in your last trimester.  My massage therapist said that she surprisingly gets a lot of women that are also in their first or second trimester!  I say, hold off if you can ladies!  You will be most miserable in your last trimester and all the aches and pains will be rubbed right out; well, at least during your session!  It was absolutely wonderful.  I have been so stressed about school starting and a sub taking over in a month.  I have been at school almost every day (during the work week) since the first day in August preparing my room, paper work, and lesson plans for the sub.  It's been extremely hard on me to be there an entire day.  Since I have had a lot of belly pain the second half of the day is extremely uncomfortable for me.  I am also exhausted by about 1.  We will see if I'll be able to entertain and teach kids for a full day all the way up until term.  Needless to say, the massage was chosen at a good time.  I then opted for a pedicure because Becoming Mom, where I went, also has a small salon.  Wow, there pedi's are expensive but that is because they still target their services to pregnant Mom's (even though you don't have to be for a pedi).  They used hot rocks with a pain relief in legs lotion to massage my feet and legs.  The water had lavender in it for relaxation.  It was heavenly.  I came home last night, tired but very relaxed.
