The anniversary and cousin's wedding weekend were terrific. My husband and I hiked both Friday and Saturday. We had planned on hiking today as well but our bodies were exhausted. We did about an hour and a half hike each day. Hocking hills is filled with huge bluffs - the hike up there required some intense stamina. It was even more physically exerting because we went with our labs who are huge and holding them back when there was a cliff or strangers with dogs near by required a lot of strength. My muscles were tired and sore after the first day of hiking!
I normally don't drink these because they have some calories and sodium in them but after our hike Saturday I went ahead and had a Powerade Zero to get rehydrated and gain back some of my eloctrolytes. Sports drinks are what help your body gain back some of the body's water and electrolyte levels so you are not weak and dehydrated. I also knew I planned on having a few drinks last night at the wedding and wanted my body to be back to a healthier level of water intake so I wouldn't have a hangover the next day.
All in all, we had a great time seeing my family and just enjoying each other's company. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend!
